The Founder

I have no history of doing art but drawing this on my iPad made one of my chemo treatment weeks go by faster last winter.

After conceiving the idea for the drawing, I read in “The Prism of Lyra” that the All That Is, Infinite Consciousness, manifest as the whole Cosmos split itself into smaller and smaller pieces, all of which carry a portion of that original Infinite Consciousness from which they split.

Stars carry a considerable amount of this original consciousness and are “Founders” as they foster planets and the life forms they birth. In this view it is the solar consciousness which attracted and in a way intentionally created life on Earth.

This makes each of us a further split from our Sun the Founder, a finer division of the All That Is.

It’s a neat idea, at the least. Anyway, themes that reflect the truth inevitably make it into our art, whether we know it at the time of creation or not.
